Fellowship schemes
We run four different Fellowship schemes.
- LAHRI Postdoctoral Visiting Fellowships are for researchers who have recently completed their PhD in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures at the University of Leeds.
- Our LUCAS-LAHRI Virtual Visiting Research Fellowships are a collaboration with the Leeds University Centre for African Studies, and are open to researchers based at universities on the African continent.
- Brotherton Fellowships are open to external applicants and are a short-term postdoctoral fellowship, offering an opportunity to work with Cultural Collections in University of Leeds Libraries.
- Bedford Fellows work with the John Evan Bedford Library of Furniture History in University of Leeds Libraries.
LAHRI Postdoctoral Visiting Fellowships
Our non-stipendiary Postdoctoral Visiting Fellowship (PDVF) scheme is open to recent Leeds AHC PhD graduates. Visiting Fellows are based at LAHRI, with access to Library facilities, desk space (if desired), and training opportunities. There are two intakes each year in April and October and the scheme allows our Visiting Fellows to develop their interdisciplinary networks.
Brotherton Fellowship
The Brotherton Fellowship is a short-term postdoctoral fellowship designed for a researcher with a background in the arts and humanities to make use of and promote Cultural Collections in University of Leeds Libraries.
John Bedford Fellowship
The Bedford Fellowship is a short-term postdoctoral fellowship designed for a researcher with a background in the arts and humanities to make use of and promote the John Evan Bedford Library of Furniture History in University of Leeds Libraries.
LUCAS-LAHRI Virtual Visiting Research Fellowships
The Virtual Visiting Research Fellowships are a collaboration between LAHRI and the University's Centre for African Studies (LUCAS). The short-term Fellowships are for academics based at institutions on the African continent, who through these positions have the opportunity to undertake a well-defined piece of research in collaboration with academics at Leeds.
