As environmental humanities research continues to develop at Leeds, across new disciplines and involving new colleagues and collaborators, we are keen to explore what connections we might make across our community. The Leeds Arts & Humanities Research Institute (LAHRI) is hosting Environmental Humanities Futures to bring together researchers from across and beyond the Faculty of Arts, Humanities & Cultures who are engaging with – or have ambitions to engage with – environmental and ecological perspectives, themes, methods and topics in their work. Whilst this event is focussed on arts and humanities research, we welcome attendees from across the University and hope to stimulate new connections within and beyond the arts and humanities. Please do come along if you are keen to know more about environmental arts and humanities research at Leeds.

The event will function as both a showcase and networking opportunity, and will feature five-minute lightning talks from seven researchers working in different areas of the environmental humanities. The second half of the event then moves to a highly interactive networking session, with facilitated discussion on the current trajectory of environmental humanities research, opportunities for collaboration, and how we can enable better connection across disciplines and support the flourishing community of environmental humanities researchers at Leeds.
