The Leeds Arts and Humanities Research Institute are delighted to promote the book launch and discussion to celebrate the publication of Professor Susan R. Grayzel’s newest book, The Age of the Gas Mask: How British Civilians Faced the Total Wars of Terror.

Professor Grayzel held the position of Fulbright Professor in the Institute from 2019-2020. This book and the work of Professor Grayzel will be of interested to Leeds researchers working in the social and Cultural history of modern warfare, 20th century British history, millitary history or 20th Century European history.

The hour long event will take place on Zoom with commentary from Professor Nadja Durbach and Professor Michelle Tusan. There will be plenty of time for Q&A.

The event will be held on Friday, 4 November 2022 at 5PM GMT.  The event will be recorded and available to watch after the live event.
