Women and Energy Poetry – Lonyo Arts with CELCE and CREEC

My name is Wei Zhou. I’m a research assistant at the Centre for Endangered Languages, Cultures and Ecosystems (CELCE) at Leeds. I’m co-organising a ‘Women and Energy Poetry Show’ held in the Goethe Zentrum in Kampala on 23 September from 6 to 7 pm (BST).  with collaborators in Uganda, namely Lonyo Arts Consortium and the Centre for Research in Energy and Energy Conservation (CREEC). The online component of this event would be a fantastic opportunity for the UK and international audience to get to know some of the latest Ugandan poems with a clear focus on women’s rights and the use of clean and affordable energy.
