Ageing Well in a Digital World
Wednesday, 22 November | 1 – 3pm | Charles Thackrah Building
Join the Reimagine Ageing Interdisciplinary Research Network for an interactive discussion on the design and use of digital tools for an ageing population.
Explore and reimagine how we can support and empower an ageing population to lead fulfilling lives through the use of digital tools, as well as debate the difficulties encountered when working in this area of research.
Those already working within the digital technology sector are encouraged to attend, as well as researchers with an interest in this area, and those looking to develop connections to established researchers.
The programme will include short talks from the following speakers:
- Professor Arunangsu Chatterjee – Dean of Digital Transformation and Professor of Digital Health and Education, University of Leeds
- Professor Helen Thornham – Professor of Feminism, Technology & Society and Principal Investigator of the Inclusive Digital Economy Network+
- Jen Rhodes – Assistant Digital Inclusion Officer at 100% Digital Leeds, which partners across Leeds to strengthen digital inclusion infrastructure
The speakers will be followed by an interactive workshop to identify research priorities and discuss existing challenges.
