I was awarded my PhD in Modern Languages and Cultures from the University of Leeds in August 2021. My mother tongue language is Arabic. Currently, I am undergoing her post-Doctoral researcher with Leeds Arts and Humanities Research Institutes (LAHRI). I have over twelve-year experience in face-to-face interpretation for the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK. I am interested in Modern Languages and Cultures amongst the Arabic ethnic communities in the UK. This inspired me to address the issues faced by the Arab ethnic minorities in the UK particularly health care centres.
